If you want to look at the cause why many in Saudi Arabia went bankrupt, why some died of heart attack, others lost half their fortune... well this is the Saudi stock market value from February 2006 until today.
Note the first 25% fall in March 2006, people didn't sell on mass yet because they expected the market to recover. But then came the 60% disaster in April and May 2006, when most of the stories happened. By June 2006, stock holders became half rich as they were 3 months ago.
Just before 3 months, the value went down from about 11000 to 8000, then to 6000. Similar stories took place all over the gulf area and even in Jordan and Egypt. Facts involve politics, world mafias and big guys to be uncovered, hopefully while we are alive.
There was a cache surplus in the area after oil prices hit the sky, and it seems Arabs can not manage so much money in their hands.
